One of the things we have realised, is that a change is as good as a rest (as they say), which means if you want to liven things up and energise your staff in preparation for a big celebration, why not spice things up by changing the ‘Look’ of your business, with an “Onsite” corporate event!

 

So… If the role of ‘party planner’ has landed in your lap, then you’ll be looking for the most stress free, easy going approach for organising your team’s shindig – Managing a team is hard enough, never mind entertaining one! We have compiled a 6 point list of advice for you to make sure your event is as exciting and memorable as it possibly can be.

Here are 6 things we would suggest you do (and their perks…), to organise THE BEST corporate event you possibly can;

1 – Stay ON SITE! – Wave goodbye to the taxis and buses as you wander from your desk, to the event area set up for you ON SITE. Your team will be thanking you as they sip on an immediate espresso martini, after you relieve them of waiting for that big white coach to trundle to the nearest town. There is a lot to be said for revealing the relaxing vibe your workplace building / office can be capable of, to your team. This can go a long way towards ensuring people feel comfortable and more productive in their work environment moving forwards.

2 – Prioritise privacy – After all, you are celebrating your business and its workforce. What’s more exclusive than your own private party, where no one else apart from your team can enjoy the company of each other? Hosting an event on your own premises without interruption allows you the flexibility to include your own awards speeches, games, themed activities and other business specific entertainment.

3 – Be inclusive – Sometimes going out can be overwhelming for people and after all, a celebration for your staff is about showing appreciation. Your workplace is a familiar environment for your team, so why not put them at ease and host your event onsite! I mean, also… What could be better for a bit of HR – PR than some crispy photos and video footage of your favourite team members all enjoying a margarita, with a smile on their face, in front of your company logo!

4 – Maximise customisation – When it’s your own, you can do what you want with it right? You can control the decor, decide what the food offering will be, exactly what will be served on the drinks menu and exactly what music is played too! No more ‘Worrying about the vibe’ of that venue you have booked, or ‘Whether there will be a cocktail I like’ – Decide everything in advance to ensure you get exactly what you want. Not only can you control the entertainment, but external events companies are usually more than happy to offer a “White label” branding package, meaning your company logo can be displayed on drinks coasters, napkins, staff uniform, mobile bar hoardings and large format pop ups!

5 – DON’T pay for venue hire – Why not take advantage of the space you already rent or pay for, instead of renting another venue? Hire fees can be eye watering and you have the pressure of hitting a minimum spend to contend with too, this way you can control the costs in advance and even make a saving! The value for money you will achieve by utilising your own premises will far outweigh the pricey city centre room fees as you will still have to pay for food, a minimum bar spend and decoration too – Save yourself the money and spend it on a fabulously customisable corporate event onsite!

6 – Hire a mobile bar! – Everyone knows that one of the key ingredients to a successful party is a drink in hand for all of your guests. It can be all too easy to overlook this aspect, as it seems easy enough to pour your friend a glass of wine or pass them a bottle of beer, but ALAS… The reality of the situation is that your event will start at X o’clock, at which point, every one of your team members will arrive and expect a drink simultaneously. If you’re not prepared you could fall flat on your face at the first hurdle and if you’re going to the trouble of organising a party, inviting your team and paying for it too, you’ll want to make sure you don’t.

Just Eat
Just Eat are a very proud company who strive to create an amicable environment for their staff whilst at work. Due to the nature of their ‘Work hours’ requests, we have delivered multiple themed indoor and outdoor mobile mocktail bar events, serving themed non alch cocktails to the staff onsite, during their work day. So far this year we have organised events for Valentine’s Day, St Patricks day & Pride month to name a few. We are looking forward to our Autumn and winter celebrations with the company.

BJSS
The end of quarter town hall was a little more interesting for BJSS this year, as we set up a cocktail bar inside their brand new high rise office (Yes on the top floor) in Newcastle city centre. Our team of crack mixologists created tasty libations for the entire office before they went out on a pool and tacos night to celebrate their businesses success. It was safe to say that they were chuffed with the transformation that the office underwent and the clacking of keyboards was swapped for the cracking and shaking of ice and vodka! We even included a professional videographer to capture the event for the company to share among their other offices, solidifying their appreciation for the hard work performed by their teams.

Vertu Motors
The Vertu Motors annual summer social this year was trusted to us and we built our outdoor 360 degree mobile bar onsite, which has its own canopy, lights and can serve up to 400 people! Almost 300 people attended the event held at the company’s premises in Team Valley, Gateshead and we provided a range of draught and bottled beers, cocktails & spirit and mixers. The event was seamless and we managed to keep the queues down to a minimum of a few minutes, thanks to our slick set up and experienced staff. The client pre-paid for X amount of drinks tokens, so they were able to control the cost to themselves and we provided the means for customers to pay as they went as well.

Knight Frank
Knight Frank moved into a new office building on the Newcastle Quayside this summer and we were lucky enough to be asked to provide our bespoke cocktail services for their event. We teamed up with a local events company, Boutique Event Hire who provided an amazing festival style stretch tent set up. DJ’s, food and heaters were all in place right outside their office doors, along with our fabulous mobile cocktail bar. 200 of their guests were invited to enjoy the party where we had a custom menu of cocktails available to everyone in attendance, which were mixed up by 3 of our top end cocktail bartenders.
