Est in 2019,
The Swordmaker was nothing more than a bright idea scribbled on a piece of paper, by our founder Josh Callon, whilst working in a coffee shop. An idea to bring a mobile bar into a room and transform the place into a DIY cocktail lounge, with the feel and magic of the real thing.
After an education in music and a year travelling, living and working in some of the most amazing places and top rated cocktail bars in New Zealand, Josh returned to the UK full of creative vigour and life. It was then it occurred that there must be a market here for the people who were missing out on what he had seen.
A self funded & turbulent endeavour is what unfolded as we ran straight into Covid 19, an extremely antisocial and disruptive time for hospitality and events. This gave life to our range of bottled cocktails, which worked as a fantastic marketing strategy to spread our story, to as many doorsteps as possible.
Here in 2023, we have a new brand image, a well established reputation in the North East and have delivered over 300 private parties, cocktail classes and weddings to date.
All Inclusive
Introducing our hottest option, the All-Inclusive drinks package, a totally hands off option to elevate your event to a level of indulgence and sophistication like never before.
The beating heart of your event would be one of our mobile bars, a stunning centrepiece designed around cocktail bartending, exuding elegance and style. Manned by our expert mixologists, the bar will be a hive of activity, slinging delicious cocktails and concoctions served in gorgeous glassware, all night!
Pick a menu of 5 different cocktails from our choice of over 30, and we will print you a customised menu for the night. Standard drinks available upon request.
Pay per head and allow your guests access to either a limited, or UNLIMITED bar for the 3 hour duration of the event. Under your discretion, guests will either be handed drinks tokens to use at the bar as currency, or we can manage the cocktail tab behind the bar for a more discreet service.

Dry Hire
Experience cost effective convenience with our Dry Hire events options.
You provide the drinks & we will bring the rest. Our dry hire offering is a great way to make a saving if you’re keen to take on some of the organisational work surrounding your event.
Pick between one of our comprehensive events packages, which would include;
- A mobile cocktail bar
- Mixologists / Staff for a 3 hour service
- Glassware
- Ice
- Bespoke menu design
- A shopping list of ingredients for you to use
- Hand crafted garnishes and tricky syrups
